Biography

Pradeep graduated from SRM University in India with a B.Tech in Genetic Engineering. He then moved to Ann Arbor to pursue a M.S in Chemical Biology at the University of Michigan, where he studied the effects of dKeap1 mutation on Drosophila development and its interactions with CncC (Nrf2 homolog) during Xenobiotic stress response under the mentorship of Tom Kerppola. He then worked in the lab of Costas Lyssiotis where he studied the immunometabolism of CD8+ T cells and devised strategies to improve their efficacy in cancer immunotherapy.

In the Byrd lab, Pradeep is interested in the normalization of urinary extracellular RNA, biomarker discovery and the potential roles of extracellular vesicles in primary aldosteronism. In his spare time, Pradeep enjoys science fiction, sports statistics, trivia and scientific communication.
