Andrea has 7 years of research experience as an NIH trainee, Research Specialist, Research Assistant and Research Coordinator. Through her different research experiences she has had the opportunity to work on multiple clinical studies in pulmonology, cardiology, translational medicine, and human genetics. Andrea joined the Byrd Lab in 2019 as a Clinical Research Coordinator. Her work at the Byrd Lab includes coordinating a clinical study of primary aldosteronism, screening and enrolling research participants, maintaining regulatory documents and communication with study participants, scheduling and executing study visits, collecting and entering study participant data. Andrea is interested in a career in health care and will apply to a Physician Assistant masters program in Summer 2020. Aside from research, Andrea enjoys exercising, spending time with family and friends, and has a slight obsession with avocados.
